The Sensationalist

I have to rib you a little bit about this entry. When you say great with food, you leave your readership wondering, "Yes, but what kind of food?" We had this wine with Ed's delicious shrimp cocktail (you basically poach huge shrimp in herb broth, then chill them for an hour), some homemade tortilla chips with guacamole, and a delightful Italian cheese from our fave producer, Caseificio Dell'Alta Langa, in the Piedmont region of Italy. We get their cheeses at Say Cheese in Cole Valley, and the one we had with the Arneis was, I think, Cravanzina (a cow/sheep's milk blend), but I may be wrong. The cheese from this producer is going to be the death of me.

Ed

Ah, but what a way to go.

The Sensationalist

Perhaps I can now justify eating large amounts of La Tur and Cravanzina every day by saying that I need to greatly increase my intake of calcium to heal my stress fracture! But since I'm essentially immobile for 8 weeks, I don't think that's such a good strategy. Better stick to sushi and udon for the duration of my gimpiness.

Ed

Well, since you'll have to limit your cheese consumption, at least you can stick to the good stuff!
